PETUNIA

Petunia is a DSH female, thought to be born in February, 2021.

Petunia was discovered when Hajar heard a loud meow coming from a secluded gated area near the rescue. The area was impossible for Hajar to get to alone, so she called for reinforcements. That night, a volunteer climbed the fence in the direction of the meow and discovered little Petunia who was starving, dirty, freezing, scared, and alone. She fought the volunteer hard, but was eventually taken under Hajar's jacket. Petunia meowed the whole way back to the shelter, and continued to scream throughout the night.

Petunia now is a happy and healthy little girl. She loves to play and only stops to sleep. She has lots of kitten energy and will attack any of her shelter siblings at random, no matter their size.

Update, December 16th, 2022:
Petunia is a very sweet cat who would be more than happy to spend all day getting pets if it were up to her. When humans walk into the room, Petunia doesn’t swarm for attention like the other cats. Instead, she’ll roll on her back and try to lure people in by being too adorable to resist. If you stop petting Petunia, she’ll take over and rub her face on your hands until you start petting her again.

We think Petunia believes that she speaks our language -- and she certainly has a lot to say. Petunia will have an entire conversation with you if you talk back to her!

Petunia loves other cats and would be very happy being homed with another young cat to play with. However, she could be adopted into a home without cats as long as there are enough humans around to keep her company.
